On a recent visit to Wisconsin to purchase a new teardrop trailer for my family’s travels, I stayed at a campground near Devil’s Lake State Park. The lake and resulting bluffs were an interesting geological feature from glacial scours across the landscape. Crumbling stone walls and boulders piled high surrounded the water’s edge. Making my way around the lake at sunset I came across a half dozen picnic tables that were thrown into the lake. With the stillness of dusk and the shadowy reflections, it was a little creepy. I can only assume this was a Devil’s work. Or teenagers.
