Over hundreds of years, two Giant Sequoia trunks converge into one on the tree named after Clara Barton in the Round Meadow of Sequoia National Park. Each trunk could be well over a thousand years old and have likely experienced many wildfires and earthquakes. An old fire scar slowly becomes enveloped by the neighboring tree and barring any major catastrophes, it will be completely concealed in another few hundred years.
