Somewhere inside this image is the correlation to current socio-political events, but that’s probably for future art psychologists and historians to make the connection. For me, I’m reminded of Carl Sagan’s “Pale Blue Dot” speech – which I feel everyone should listen or read repeatedly. It’s humbling in needlessly hard times and makes a poignant reminder of how truly insignificant our arguments, fights and disagreements are between one another. We each have but a speck of time on a speck of dust.
